IoT specialist, IRIS IoT Solutions, is close to finalising launch details of its IoT in a Box program, specifically aimed at meeting the requirements of the mobile re-seller channel in delivering IoT solutions to their customers.
“Having over 20 years’ experience in mobile comms ourselves, we fully understand the challenges in introducing new products to customers, particularly when that involves new, ground-breaking technologies” explains Stephen Westley, IRIS Director.
“And so, when we thought about how we should present our IoT solutions on behalf of the mobile re-seller channel, we knew it just had to be ‘out-of-the-box’, both metaphorically, in so much as each is a complete end-to-end solution and literally, in that it comes packaged, ready-to-install.
IRIS has designed a number of entry-level solutions, that both solve essential business requirements and deliver significant customer benefits in return for an all-inclusive monthly subscription payment, involving the re-seller in as little additional complexity as possible.
By combining easy-to-install battery powered LoRa sensors, with stand-alone cellular gateway and a cloud-based data analytics and visualisation platform, IRIS has designed each solution to be a complete service unit. For example, the Legionella Starter Kit addresses the compliance and legislative requirements on all organisations for the monitoring and control of water systems in line with Health & Safety best practice, with a completely automated solution.
From initial water temperature measurement through monthly report generation and certification to full data repository and traceability, the whole process is automated, with in-built alarms and escalations.
“IoT is going to be big business and it shouldn’t just be big businesses that get the rewards” says Westley. “Mobile re-sellers are a valuable asset in providing their customers with a variety of comms and IT services and should be a major resource in supporting these businesses with the benefits and efficiencies that IoT has to offer.
"In designing this program, we have developed a range of solutions addressing Wellness in Workplace and Environmental challenges, Occupancy and Space Utilisation and Energy Management. Easily understood, easily implemented, turnkey packages that enable the re-seller to easily engage IoT with their customer base and add to and extend their own product and services portfolio.”
